Yay! Winefest

Last year, I gave away a pair of tickets to Winefest Edmonton, but sadly, a charity event meant that I was unable to go myself. This year, I have been lucky enough to be invited back to the industry and trade tasting, and I also have a pair of tickets to give away to one lucky winner for the Saturday afternoon session.

Think an afternoon of swirling and sipping would be right up your alley? Well, its super simple... just leave me a comment on this post with the name of your favourite wine... or any other tipple, really, and you're in it to win it! Best of all, the ticket is all-inclusive and gives you entry + unlimited wine sampling + tasty nibbles from 2 - 5 PM... what better way to spend a Saturday afternoon, that too on Valentine's weekend?

I will do a random draw on Wednesday, 13th February at 6 PM, and will notify the winner via the email that they provide, so please make sure you put a valid email in when commenting. Also, if you are entering as Anonymous, please add your name to the bottom of your comment. Please check the notes on the giveaway at the bottom of the post before entering.

And... salut!

'Winefest Edmonton is back to spoil your senses. This all-inclusive event allows the opportunity to 'try before you buy' within a casually refined atmosphere - every sip and sample is included in the ticket price. At Winefest, wine experts are available to share their knowledge as consumers taste their way from booth to booth, providing tasting notes while educating the palate and senses. Stop by the on-site Liquor Depot store to purchase your favourite finds to enjoy at home. Savour a delicious selection of hors d'oeuvres in a relaxed, yet fun atmosphere. Also included in ticket prices is a Tasting Notebook and complimentary wine glass.

Winefest Edmonton Menu

Winefest is a playground for the palate, where attendees have the chance to sample a delicious array of wines. View a list of wineries participating in Winefest Edmonton 2013.

To complement the delicious sips of wine, the Shaw Conference Centre is serving a selection of palette pleasing hors d'oeuvres. In cocktail reception style, servers will make their way through the hall to ensure everyone gets a few delicious appetizers.

Guests can also sample from two hors d' oeuvres stations located inside the hall and a variety of tantalizing bites available from COBS Bread, Nefiss Lezizz, Terra International Food, Oh! Naturals Flavoured Banana Chips, Buttery Bites Caramels, The Cheesiry and Cococo Chocolatiers, the Chocolaterie Bernard Callebaut Company. Check out the tasty nibbles and delicious hors d'oeuvres being served'

A few notes:
  • I am giving away a pair of tickets to one winner
  • I will draw a random winner on Wednesday, 13th February at 6 PM and announce it on the blog and contact the winner via email.
  • The tickets are for Saturday, 16th Feb 2013, for the 2 - 5 session only and are not transferable.
  • If you are the winner, please  make sure that you reply to my email within the evening or latest by the morning of Thursday 14th February as I need names and numbers to make sure you receive your tickets. If I haven't heard from you by 9.30 AM, I will draw and notify a second winner.
  • The winner will be picking up your tickets at the 'Will Call' booth on Saturday.
So what are you waiting for? Comment away :)

  1. Gah! I am so sad to be missing the industry tasting (work can put such a cramp in my social life)... but anyways, I have to say that I've been really in to the Cupcake wines lately. All the ones I've had have been really good but I lean towards the Riesling the most. :)

  5. I would love to have a chance to win the tickets. My current favorite wine are the Apothic wines, both red and white. They're full of rich, fruit flavor.
